Astronaut autographs can be the most exciting area of space collecting but it can also be the most frustrating. How fun it is to go to the mailbox everyday not knowing if you are going to get a good autograph that day or not. Sometimes the mail brings surprises, such as a crew-signed photo when it was just a single autograph you requested. Sometimes you get an autopen on a cover already signed by 6 other astronauts. Its the luck of the draw. Autograph collecting is a very popular hobby and it is also big business and the astronauts know this. Many of them are charging outrageous prices for their autograph. It is supposed to discourage the selling of their autograph but all it really does is hurt the average collector who just want an autograph for their collection. I have also included on this list some misc. space autographs as well as some early Cosmonaut autographs. A note about guaranteeing the authenticity of the autographs: Since I personally did not see any of these autographed items being signed I cannot and will not offer a certificate of authenticity with any of the autographs. I sell autographs based on the combined 50 years experience of my dad and my collecting autographs. Every autograph I sell shows every characteristic of being an original autograph.
